Home for Christmas!

All of us together again for Christmas!! Out came the handbells for the church programs, the "family band" and the fun of the season. We are thankful to God for a safe and wonderful 2007 and look forward to all the changes and challenges of 2008!

Jamin's New Car

I flew south in November to drive Jamin's old car north to Portland for Laura at the University of Portland. Jamin has gotten a "new" one with all the bells and whistles including a GPS navigation system and back-up camera. I suppose when you drive the hectic L.A. freeways it's good to have something smooth and reliable.

Gettysburg October 07

I enjoyed a flight to Washington D.C. and then a short drive up to Gettysburg where I joined a group of Civil War "buffs" and walked the fields where thousands fought for our country in 1863! Our guide was 84 years old, a renowned historian and so "spry" we could hardly keep up while climbing through Devil's Den, up Little Round Top and Culp's Hill. Great time! And, of course Abraham Lincoln gave his great Address here, too. On the way back to D.C. I stopped at Harrisburg to see the sister Beth's relatives, the Bennetts and went through the Civil War Museum there.
