Weekend on the Scrimshaw

Early morning, Friday, Dec 2nd five of us set off from the harbor at Ketchikan and glided peacefully south on the Scrimshaw. a few birds and seals welcomed our arrive at Shoal Cove where we tied up and spent a couple days walking the snowy trails, exploring in the skiff, playing games, target practice, fellowship and comradrie, food, and just being together. On Sunday morning we found a perfect "tree" for John and Jennie....and proceeded back home before darkness fell. A great weekend!

EPCOT

A highlight of Orlando was going to EPCOT with my sisters and other relatives. The ride "Soarin'" was special as were the trips through the International villages. We stayed for the evening special..the fireworks.

Wedding in Orlando

My sisters and I gathered in Orlando, Florida, for a "mini-reunion" and a wedding. Great Neice Sarah Richardson was married in a lakeside ceremony at Pioneers Mission Headquarters, complete with numerous attendants including her Siberian Husky...Bro. Great fun for all, including the night reception with food, dancing, and fireworks.

Houston 2011

My trip to Houston in November (2011) provided a great visit with Jamin and Lisa. Besides seeing them both at work, I was able to attend church (St. Martins Episcopal) and also a polo game, a sport I had never witnessed. Walking the Bayou Trail from their house to downtown Houston and back was especially fun.
