Devil's Tower and Pompey's Pillar

After Black Hills. . we went on to Devils Tower in Wyoming and Pompey's Pillar in Montana. The pillar along the Yellowstone River was named by Wm Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition after the young son of Sacajewea who accompanied them on the trip to the Pacific. Wm Clark etched his own name into the stone in 1806.
